Earlier this Month, the ICBA held their annual community banking convention in Honolulu, Hawaii where hundreds of community bankers got together to talk about the opportunities that they have in their industry and local communities.
While we here at Switch to Community were stuck in the snowy Northeast, we had a great time following the conversation through the twitterverse. Thanks to all those who tweeted and helped us be a part of the action – It was great to “meet” many of the great minds in community banking!
In case you couldn’t make it, or if you just want to relive the fun, we’ve put together some of our favorite tweets from the convention. Enjoy!
We asked you how your bank is leading by example, here’s what you said:
@BankingLocal My community bank still loans 2 young families providing a shot at American dream. Relationship still matters.— Nick DiFrancesco (@PACB_Nick) March 5, 2014
These great words of wisdom and support:
"Community banks matter." Says FDIC chairman at #ICBALive14— Chris Lorence (@ChrisCommando) March 4, 2014
Poor NerdWallet… so close!
But really… this was just great information.
